In the land of the paradox, the bird begins to sing
See it soaring beneath the sky on luminescent wings
First you notice the black markings, then you notice the white
It's a symbol of unity - of death and life
In the land of the paradox, a light begins to glow
See it glinting on frosty peaks as streams begin to flow
As you notice the small creatures, still smaller appear
The music creating them is all you can hear
Although nothing is false
All our words can't be true
Everything's growing and bending with the wind
The answer is floating in the blue
In the land of the paradox, the echoes of your mind
Will say hello to you in someone else's eyes
Clouds that seem to obscure the sun are transformed into rain
Which on dying becomes a stream, then a cloud once again
In the land of the paradox, where time is always now
Something is happening, and if you allow
The music to play you, your heart is the song
And in it the paradox was there all along
But hiding can still make you sad
Fear can close your ears
Worrying can tie you up in time
Paradise slowly disappears
Still the land of the paradox is where you are today
If you're hiding from paradise, there's nothing you can say
If you notice the black markings, will you look for the white?
