What agenda twists your mind, tries to steal your show?
What's opinion? What is fact? What's just straight out lies?
Getting hoodwinked's like the norm - it's no big surprise
Repetition transforms fiction into well known fact
Disillusion shows your conscience sure has been hacked
And confusion leaves you floundering in the mud
No direction you can see that might stem the flood

Living in a fake world,
Where fairy tales become true
We’re living in a fake world
Where everything is see through
We’re living in a fake world
Seems there's nothing that we can do

How to tell if it's a scam? Well, that's up to you
If you think it will promote what someone's trying to sell
No mistake, because they know more than you can tell
All the searches that you make, every link you click
Helps them feed to you the crap that they think will stick

Seems there's nothing that we can do

Yet you know (although it’s bad) you're not alone, (and seems so sad) 'cause there's so many of us
In your heart (look deep inside) lies the power, (oh, please don’t hide) if you let it open up

You were born with something good hidden deep inside
An ability to care that you need not hide
Individuals you love are what matters most
Love's agenda is the one that you need to host
Corporations may be taking over everything
Doesn't matter if your heart has a song to sing
Politicians can sell out, even lock you up
Open hearts that they can't stop will refill your cup

Living in a fake world
But your heart can still stay true
Though we're living in a fake world
Perhaps there's something we can still do
We're living in a fake world
But one that we can see through
Let's move beyond that fake world
So, we can let our love shine through
Let's open our hearts
